what's your name again?
my given name is callyn (pronounced cuh-lynn, not cal-lynn or cay-lynn). the only people who call me that are my great aunt (who is 85) and my boyfriend when he's being sassy. i go by callie. i'm also used to answering to kelly, hallie, caley (rhymes with haley), and occasionally carrie. it's your choice, but i prefer callie.

why do you sign your blogs "cal" then?
because people who are close to me call me cal. i guess two syllables are difficult for my family and friends. but since i'm sharing my life out here in blog world, i'm comfortable with you calling me by my most common nickname. again, your choice.

you're nice, cal. anddd what do you do?
i work in human resources for a fortune 50 company based in columbus, ohio. if we meet, i will want to know all about your job (current and dream job). it's what i do. i also give pretty decent resume advice if ya need it.

what are some of your favorite things, aside from pimping your midwestern state as a great vacation destination?
i adore sweet tea vodka+lemonade, southern things, monograms, sangria and sweet wines, planning vacations, fro-yo, any type of ice cream really, spontaneous adventures, attending ~8 weddings per year, funny-not-mean sarcasm, complimenting people, and attempting to cook and bake things. i also have an unhealthy obsession with baseball, football, and college basketball. my friends and my boyfriend are okay, too. ;)

and what are some of your least favorite things?

incorrect grammar and spelling. one of my biggest fears is making a typo in a tweet or blog. i also don't particularly care for mean people, tomatoes, onions, or gross foods.

the people in my life are what make it fun. i love them more than anything, and i would sincerely be lost without them. you should really be jealous of how fantastic they are. (also? you must have missed the part that says i like being sarcastic.)

what are your favorite holidays?
easter and christmas are my favorite religious holidays, because of what they symbolize. i adore celebrating my birthday. CAPS LOCK FRIDAY is my favorite non-sanctioned holiday.

are you friends with any bloggers in real life?
three of my close girlfriends have awesome blogs - they are the ones who inspire me to keep blogging when i go on 5-month-long hiatuses. those three are mary, holly, and christina. i love them. hope you enjoy their blogs.
