1. my iPod - unfortunately, i only have an old iPod nano (i think it's just a 2 gigabyte one for you techie readers - haha, there i go overemphasizing my readership again), and it's currently full. i am saving my pennies to buy a larger iPod of some sort, and i'm debating the merits of the iPod touch. pros - new, pretty, fun to play with, has games and internet access! basically like owning an iphone without the crappy AT&T stuff! cons - um, i already have a blackberry, so basically...i just want an iPod touch because it's pretty. story of my life.
2. girly drinks - as i am a huge sports enthusiast and frequently hang out with groups of boys, i feel the need to stress my femininity by drinking things that are pink and include vodka. (cranberry juice - drink it. your mom would be proud. add vodka and it tastes better.) i also wear lots of dresses to help aid the "i'm a girly girl at heart" cause, and i believe that due to this, i usually am able to avoid heavy lifting and driving places when i go out with a boy. feel free to steal my tactics and use them as you see fit.
4. watching sports - i love baseball, college football, and pro football. i will watch almost any game, except maybe yankees/mets (who do you cheer for?), non-BCS conference college football (sorry, i'm biased against the little guys), and anything involving the patriots (unless it's the super bowl or they're playing the colts). end of story. i'm even forgiving the creator of this picture for his/her grammatical error (the word "damn" has an N at the end, obviously) just to share it with you. note: i do not condone prejudice of any type, but this is still pretty "dam" funny.
5. texting - i am a firm believer that texting is a vital form of communication. if i know you're at work/in class/out with friends, but i need to ask or tell you something, i'm not going to call you. i'm going to send you a text - then you text me back and the problem is solved. this cuts out the obligatory 3-5 minute phone conversation surrounding the real reason you actually call someone, and everyone is happy. if you feel the need for a post-text call, then fine, but at least you know the reason i wanted to talk to you in the first place. also, i don't think there is anything better than text flirting. it's fun, it can be seductive, and it gives you an opportunity to formulate a witty response, thus making you seem even more all-around perfect than you already are. plus, drunken texting gives us the most wonderful website in the universe...and daytime texting between two people who are bored at work gives us gems like this:
participants:
me: (duh)
RT: abbreviation for rocky top, as said participant is from tennessee and loves all things related to the university of tennessee. and for those of you not up on college fight songs, "rocky top" is the unofficial anthem for UT athletics.
me: i think i'd have jair jurrjens on my all-star team.
RT: i'd have you on my all-star team.
me: oh, really...
RT: you remind me of sarah mclachlan.
me: haha, um...how so, and is that a good thing?
RT: just in the face - i saw her on a commercial the other day and thought of you...and yes, it's a good thing!
me: the only commercials i see her on are for animal shelters, so i'm glad i don't remind you of wounded puppies.
RT: nope, it's those eyes, i think.
silly RT, i think you're crazy...maybe imagine miss mclachlan with slightly longer, darker hair, fuller cheeks, and better teeth, and you just might have a closer match. but thanks for feeding my addiction for random texts and text flirting today!
